Position Overview:

MasayaCo is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Online Sales Representative to join our team.

MasayaCo is a reforestation project and a furniture maker. We make handmade, solid wood furniture from teak grown on our reforestation projects in Northern and Southern Nicaragua. We are a small, but rapidly growing company made up of big-picture thinkers and creative entrepreneurs.

As part of our online sales and customer support team, you will be responsible for selling furniture online, initiating outbound sales programs, responding to live chat inquiries on our website, and providing exceptional customer support while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in online sales, possess excellent English language skills, and exhibit strong soft skills to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Please note that this position requires a flexible schedule, including weekend availability and late shifts during weekdays. It also requires physical presence at our facilities in Managua and bi-weekly visits to our factory (also in Managua).

Key Responsibilities

Online Sales:

  • Promote and sell furniture products through various online channels.
  • Deliver our sales program by sending outbound emails, responding to inbound leads, phone calls with clients, creating proposals, and quoting projects.
  • Identify and engage with potential customers to drive sales growth.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product catalog and online promotions.

Live Chat Support:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via live chat.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information about our products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Assist customers in making purchasing decisions based on their needs and preferences.
  • Resolve any issues or concerns raised by customers and ensure customer satisfaction.

Customer Service:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Handle customer complaints or escalations with empathy and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address customer inquiries and provide solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.

Schedule Flexibility:

  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and late shifts during weekdays.
  • Adhere to assigned shifts and ensure availability to assist customers during peak times.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth coverage and optimal customer support.
  • Maintain a professional and proactive approach to meeting schedule requirements.

On-site Presence and Factory Visits:

  • Be physically present at our facilities in Managua for daily operations and team collaboration.
  • Attend periodic visits to our factory to gain product knowledge and provide insights to customers.
  • Collaborate with production teams to stay updated on manufacturing processes and product availability.
  • Communicate customer feedback and requirements to the relevant teams for continuous improvement.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, product knowledge, and online selling techniques.
  • Learn and adapt to new processes and tools across different online platforms. (Shopify, Hubspot, Slack, Gmail Suit, Power BI, etc). 
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance sales skills and improve customer service abilities.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to contribute to the team's success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in online sales, preferably in the furniture or home decor industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about sales, highly motivated, and driven to achieve targets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using online platforms and tools for sales and customer support.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Willingness to work weekends and late shifts during weekdays.
